Up 2.8% over May of 2011. For the year we are up 3.5%.

Updates
Rehabilitate Taxiway Systems
Painting still needs to be completed on TWYs A, B, M, P, W. A hold short marking is missing on TWY W prohibiting us from opening RWY 16L/34R. Winds have prevented the painting contractor from actually laying out the markings.
Executive Apron Reconstruction
Phase 2 will have hot mix applied in about 2 weeks and should be completed by the next meeting.
The next major project in the executive hangar area that will be done is the reconstruction of all the ramp areas near the hangars west of the current work. It will be broken down into phases so only a few hangars are displaced at a time.
Old East Hangar
The building has been taken down and the final debris removal is being finished.
2012 Disaster Exercise (DisEx)
The disaster exercise went very well. We had all the local law enforcement and mutual aid responders show up. the local area hospitals also participated to earn mass casualty credit.

Parking Lot Addition
A feasibility study has been done on a vacant lot west of the existing parking lots with three phases. Whether or not it is covered is an additional cost consideration that needs to be discussed. Initial estimates show the cost to construct the lot will double if the lot is covered. A construction proposal will be drafted to submit to the board at the next meeting.
Southwest Airlines Flight Schedule
Starting in November 2012 Southwest will add an extra Houston and Las Vegas flight. As a result of those additions we will lose a Dallas flight. A net gain and a positive sign that Southwest believes in Midland’s passenger base. We hope to see a new 737-800 on some of those flights.
The next meeting is Tuesday, August 21, 2012 @ 9:00 a.m.
